This
5-Star Resort is located in Vilamoura and is only 20
minutes from Faro International Airport. The golf courses
of Vilamoura, Quinta Do Lago and Vale Do Lobo are all
within 10 minutes drive. The beautiful Vilamoura Marina
has numerous superb restaurants, bars and shops to suit
every taste. Vilamoura beach is just 5 minutes away,
as is the town of Quarteira, with its beach side restaurants,
bars and famous fish market.
Guests at Vila Sol are able to use
the lavish facilities of the Vila Sol Spa and the Golf
Resort Hotel.

Placed
at the heart of one of the Algarve's most developed
resort areas between Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago, Vila
Sol is a picture postcard of Portuguese golf. This course,
winding through an immense pinewood, in which fig trees,
oaks and almond trees also feature, is the work of the
famous English architect Donald Steel.
It is a typical inland golf
course of the British school, posing a test of the golfer's
strategic skills. Its narrow fairways demand accurate
driving. The player also has to face several obstacles
during the game, lakes and bunkers, as well as fast
grass on the greens. A low overall score will be the
fruit of early successes on the first four holes, reckoned
to be the most difficult on the entire course.

In the Algarve there are about 100
sandy attractive beaches washed by the Atlantic Ocean
and due to the maritime shelf and water currents the
sea temperature can be surprisingly warm even in some
winter months. Located on the tip of Europe with the
vast ocean of the Atlantic as its southern and western
border, this enviable position gives this region possibly
the most unpolluted climate in the European continent.
Vila
Sol is only 20 minutes from Faro Airport; the taxi fare
should be between 30 - 35 euros. A taxi from the apartment
to Vilamoura Marina is approximately 8 euros. Although
taxis are readily available and are good value, there
are lots of interesting places in and around Vilamoura
and the Algarve and therefore a car is recommended.
If need be, we are able to suggest reliable car rental
companies who provide cars either on-site at the airport,
or for delivery to this apartment.
There are ample car parking spaces
adjacent to the apartment entrance.
